1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LeKedoshim ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
2. Description of Service
LeKedoshim is a platform that facilitates Torah learning in memory of fallen Israeli soldiers and victims of terror. The Service allows users to:
- Commit to learning specific portions of Torah, Mishnah, or Talmud
- Dedicate their learning in memory of fallen heroes
- Track their learning progress
- Participate in a global community of learners
3. User Accounts
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Be responsible for all activities under your account
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Upload malicious code or content
- Harvest or collect user information without consent
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
5. Learning Commitments
When you commit to learning a portion of text, you are making a voluntary commitment. While we encourage you to fulfill your commitments, we understand that circumstances may prevent completion.
Commitments are tracked for community statistics and personal progress. Unfulfilled commitments may be made available for others to take.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by LeKedoshim and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Torah texts displayed on the Service are sourced from Sefaria and are used under their terms of use.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services including:
- Sefaria for Torah texts
- Firebase for authentication and data storage
- OpenStreetMap for mapping features
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
9. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall LeKedoshim, its directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
